INSPIRACIÓN DEL PERÚ - May 11th 2016
This May over 1,000 public attendees, press and participants will be hosted by Hoja Nueva for a celebration of Peruvian fashion, fine art and performances. All proceeds support reforestation and sustainable farming education in the Peruvian Amazon (hojaueva.org)
You are cordially invited to be a featured designer in INSPIRACIÓN DEL PERÚ - an industry event and benefit event to save the world’s largest rainforest!

There are several ways to participate as a featured designer
We will have two runway shows throughout the day- a matinee at 4:15pm and an evening gala at 8:00pm. Both will host local and regional press, buyers and around 500 audience members each. Provided:
- VIP Preview: preview of your collection for buyers and special guests
- Models: From SMG: www.smgmodels.com and hand-selected
- Production: Lights, Staging, Sound, Seating, Security & Special Effects
- Styling: Hair, makeup & clothing stylists and dressers
- Hospitality: Assistance with arranging lodging and transportation
- Media: Banner and featured article on the website and social media
- Cost: Free and through invitation only
- Host your own booth to showcase and/or sell your previous work
- Cost: $400.00 or 30% commission
Press Brunch - Monday, May 9th, 11am - 12pm: meet face-to-face with local and regional press covering the event
Prior to the event our media team will select a local blogger to preview your work through an exclusive article about your collection and customized photoshoot with that blogger.
We are happy to personalize a campaign. Examples include pop-up shops, blog series, editorial photoshoots or video production, etc.

Ava J. Holmes - Runway producer and founder or A-DOT L.L.C., Ava has worked with over 100 designers internationally through fashion weeks including Eco Fashion Week, Vancouver Fashion Week, and FashioNXT.
Nazi Alvarez - For over 14 years, Nazi has been a designer and art director developing 360 branding for retail giants such as Bebe, Forever 21, Kmart, Martha Stewart, Joe Boxer, Art Van Furniture and Lane Bryant. Nazy has collaborated with some of the biggest talents, models and celebrities.
Samantha Zwicker- She is founder and president of Hoja Nueva as well as teacher and Ph.D. student researching ecology and conservation at the University of Washington Samantha’s fieldwork is based primarily in the Amazon rainforest along the Las Piedras River in Peru. She also conducts conservation projects in the Madre de Dios region and the creation of wildlife corridors between Manu and Tambopata National Parks.

HOJA NUEVA– Hoja Nueva is a holistic non-profit developing an experimental center in the lower Pervuian Amazon that integrates research, conservation, education, sustainable community development, and reforestation into their everyday permaculture efforts. Hoja Nueva consults and cooperates with local agricultural associations and other nonprofit organizations to ensure reliable food production while maintaining healthy forests. Unique cultures and irreplaceable biodiversity continue to be lost worldwide at a rapid rate, from the Peruvian community of Seattle to biodiversity hotspots in Peru with relatively intact forest remaining. hojanueva.or

Requirements– Current or past collection that is originally designed with materials from Peru or made by a Peruvian designer.
Attendance & Shipment
Support- Attending designers will receive staff assistance in arranging in-state transportation and lodging.
Transportation – Staff will cover show-related transportation at no cost.
Lodging – Staff will help arrange lodging. Costs are not covered.
Support-Shipped collections will be represented by a stylist on staff.
Shipping – collections must be sent by April 15th.
Return Shipping – If shipping from Peru, attire will be returned in person in July. If elsewhere, shipping payments be made.
Press Release – released March 11th and April 1st.
