Seattle, WA (May 11th 2016)—Blending conservation and fashion to save the largest unprotected rainforest in Peru, A-DOT Productions today announces Inspiración del Perú. This high fashion benefit event and performance series, set for May 11th at Metropolist in Seattle, will unite communities in Seattle and across the globe for a common cause, to save the rainforest in style. Designed as a celebration of Peruvian fashion, fine art, and performances, proceeds from the event will go to 501(c)(3) organization Hoja Nueva, safeguarding the future of the rainforests through conservation, reforestation, and sustainable agriculture in Peru.
Inspiración del Perú will host internationally acclaimed Peruvian designers including headliners Augusto Manzanares, Gerardo Privat, Jose Zafra, Evelyn Brooks of Peru, Seattle-local Francesco Hernandez, and many others.
These designers will be presenting their newest collections representing traditional Peruvian influences with modern twists, as the closing gala for the day-long program which begins at 2pm and includes two runway shows at 5:15pm and a VIP gala at 8:15pm. To complement the fashion, the event will showcase visual and performance art by local and international artists, inspired by the colorful sceneries of Peru from the wild diversity of the Amazonian jungle to the illustrious Andes Mountains and lush farmlands. (continued pg.2)
This culture-collaborative runway event is raising funds to support the Seattle-Peru based non-profit, Hoja Nueva facilitating the sustainable production of *cacao trees in a three-part effort to save the rainforest, conserve wildlife, and support local communities in both Peru and Seattle.

Each ticket purchased to the event will plant one cacao tree in the Piedras region of the Amazon, home to the largest unprotected rainforest on earth. In addition to the positive environmental impacts this will have—including protecting endangered wildlife habitat and combating global climate change—this event will cultivate chocolate adored by Seattleites! Hoja Nueva’s cacao trees will produce fair-trade and organic ingredients for Seattle-local chocolate manufacturers and sustain the organization’s continuous projects in sustainability, community development, wildlife conservation, and reforestation (hojanueva.org).
